My conversations with others…
As someone who is very passionate about my work, I do quite enjoy an opportunity to talk about it! In recent years I’ve been lucky enough to join a few panels and feature on a couple of podcasts. Here are some links to those events.

How to Handle Challenging Conversations
Marketing and Me - Interview with Leanne Shelton
Do you completely freak out when it comes to confrontation?
And do you prefer to ignore issues with non-performing team members or pain-in-the-bum clients, or ask someone else to deal with them, rather than tackle them head on?
If yes, this interview will be music to your ears.
I'm chatting with Leanne Shelton about ways to handle those difficult conversations.
Feedback Conversations with Leisa Molloy
The Culture of Leadership - Brendan Rogers Podcast Interview
Have you received feedback from a leader that was vague, wishy-washy, or perhaps really harsh? Were you upset, confused, or hurt by what they told you? There are good and bad ways to deliver feedback to team members or employees.
In this episode, we speak about the three different types of feedback, what a good and bad feedback conversation looks like, how to prepare for a feedback conversation and the very real risks of providing vague or ineffective feedback. Leisa also shares a step-by-step process that will help you immensely the next time you’re required to give feedback to one of your team members.
How to Handle Difficult or Challenging Conversations as an Entrepreneur
The Simpler Business Podcast - Marissa Roberts Interview
In this episode I spoke with Marrisa Roberts from the Simpler Business Podcast about having difficult or challenging conversations as an entrepreneur.
As Marrisa says, entrepreneurs wear many different hats, jumping from one thing to another while trying to balance it all, and when things get tricky in one area, there can be a temptation to just gloss over it and hope it fixes itself so we can keep focusing on the feel-good parts of the business.
The thing is, if you can get good at handling the hurdles that pop up, having the difficult conversations with the people you work with and the people you serve, you have the potential to make a really positive impact in a way that can also help your business grow.
Helping Leaders to Navigate Tricky Conversations
Listen in to my interview with Darren Saul on the Suspended Animation Podcast where we talk about - well, a whole bunch of stuff really!
Topics included why “difficult” conversations feel so difficult, the importance of recognition and appreciation, and how leaders aren’t explicitly taught some of the skills I think are really important (e.g. listening). It was a great chat!
What Actually Makes you a Great Listener?
Video & Audio Interview
Can you put aside everything you know (or think you know) and stay curious? What questions would you ask to help you practice greater curiosity with others?
These are some of the questions Nick Hughes asked me during an interview in December 2020.
We talked about the mindset and behaviours of great listeners, and how you can put these into practice as a leader and across the other roles you play in life.
