Employee Recognition & Appreciation Workshops

Short, practical & insightful training on providing meaningful, relevant & timely Recognition or Appreciative Feedback.

Did you know that in a range of Workhuman studies, showing appreciation was consistently reported as the #1 thing that employees wanted from their managers and workplaces?

Yep, it’s right up there at the top of the priority list!

In another study 81% of employees reported feeling motivated to work harder when their boss shows appreciation for their work. Indeed, we now have a LOT of evidence demonstrating the link between recognition and employee engagement - and in turn, the resulting impact on retention, productivity, and performance.

For leaders, this makes it clear that recognition IS important, not just from a ‘feel good’ perspective, but also for the bottom line.

Recognition psychosocial risk

Inadequate reward & recognition has also been identified as a psychosocial hazard by Safe Work Australia.

In recent revisions to Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations in Australia, providing unfair or inadequate levels of reward and recognition has been identified as a potential risk to psychological well-being.

This isn't surprising given that employees who feel undervalued or underappreciated can experience a range of negative effects, including:

  • Decreased motivation

  • Decreased job satisfaction

  • Increased levels of anxiety and stress.

The good news is that you CAN easily equip your leaders and managers with the tools and knowledge to address this critical issue, helping to create a thriving and fulfilling work environment for your employees.

Here’s one of the worksheets shared with participants during the workshop, also provided to subscribers in a recent newsletter.
