My conversations with others…

As someone who is very passionate about my work, I do quite enjoy an opportunity to talk about it! In recent years I’ve been lucky enough to join a few panels and feature on a couple of podcasts. Here are some links to those events.

Helping Leaders to Navigate Tricky Conversations

Listen in to my interview with Darren Saul on the Suspended Animation Podcast where we talk about - well, a whole bunch of stuff really!

Topics included why “difficult” conversations feel so difficult, the importance of recognition and appreciation, and how leaders aren’t explicitly taught some of the skills I think are really important (e.g. listening). It was a great chat!

What Actually Makes you a Great Listener?

Video & Audio Interview

Can you put aside everything you know (or think you know) and stay curious? What questions would you ask to help you practice greater curiosity with others?

These are some of the questions Nick Hughes asked me during an interview in December 2020.

We talked about the mindset and behaviours of great listeners, and how you can put these into practice as a leader and across the other roles you play in life.

How to Have Difficult Conversations

SheMentors Podcast Interview

In this podcast episode I share a well known framework for having challenging conversations in the workplace, as well as some other tips and tricks I love sharing with clients in my workshops and programs.

This episode was aimed at emerging leaders, managers, employees - anyone keen to improve their communication skills, really.

I was excited to receive the award for most popular podcast episode from SheMentors at the end of the year - yay!

Do you Dare to Change Your Career to Follow your True Passion?

Webinar Panel Event

As a panel member of the SheLovesData webinar, I was asked to share any insights based on my experience in helping organisations to select the ‘right’ people for different roles.

Drawing on my experience as a workplace psychologist, I also spoke about the importance of really understanding what makes you ‘tick’ in order to find the right role and environment - your skills, motives, drivers, strengths and capabilities.

How to Motivate & Inspire Your Team

Leadership Panel Event, Melbourne.

In March 2020, I was invited to be a panel member of the “Leadership Skills: How To Motivate & Inspire Your Team” event, hosted by SheMentors, alongside the amazing Lorissa Garcia and Jane Taylor.

This video contains a few highlights of the different topics we spoke about on the night - we covered a lot of ground!

Behind the BBox

Podcast Interview

In this podcast Beyond the BBox host Sherri and I dive into a range of topics and models relating to workplace culture, self awareness, team dynamics, wellbeing, positive psychology, and understanding our own drivers, values, and emotions. It was a long chat!

Article in Bite Magazine

“Being able to regularly use your strengths makes work feel more satisfying and more meaningful.” A few years ago I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Angela Tufvesson for an article on strengths-based leadership for Bite Magazine. Follow the link to read the full article.
